Pre-Travel Seminar

Alex and i seem to be no closer to traveling to China but we are going to attend our Pre-Travel Seminar anyways just for fun. This seminar in next Saturday, June 3rd. They will cover all of the medical requirements of our travel, what we will need (strollers, childrens clothes, etc.), and give us tips for what to expect when we are finally with our daughter. We will be seeing most of our adoption group, which will be great. It is nice to know that we are not the only parents to be with our lives seemingly on hold. Will keep you all posted as the length of this process wears on us.

Alex in Africa

Alex just got back from Tanzania. She flew into Dar Es Saalam and then on to the mine site in Mwanza. What a fantastic trip, but not enough time to really explore and enjoy it. She said that the mine site was remote and she could hear lots of animal sounds while at camp. Please ask her about it.

Sunny Sarasota

Alex and i enjoyed a fantastic week in Sarasota, Florida last week. Alex just returned from her trip around the world and flew directly to Sarasota for a conference. I joined her there and took advantage of free beachfront lodgings. We stayed at the Colony Tennis Resort, which was fairly snobby. We were told that the President has stayed there before. The beach was amazing and we had great weather. Beautiful sunsets every night. We found a nice seaside restaurant on the waterway between two keys and enjoyed several meals watching rich people yachts pass right by our table. A very nice break and time to catch up.
