Relaxing at the cottage.

Alex and i had a great weekend at the cottage. We drove up late friday night and didnt arrive until 1am. The power had gone out but was on when we got there. I am now trying the frozen shot glass of ice with the washer on top. The theory is that if your power goes out that if the glass thaws enough for the washer to sink to the bottom, that your food is bad, but if the power goes out and the shot glass remains with the washer on top that the coldness was maintained through a short power outage. We will see! We got the canoe out from storage under the cottage. We picked up some lumber and supplies from the local Timbermart and made some progress on our new shed. We are building a 8x10 shed at the back of the property and the next project will be to move our shed items to the new shed and convert the existing shed into a guest bunkie. The weather was great, hot and sunny. The mosquitos were biting but our trusty bug jackets came in handy. We left by noon on sunday and dropped in at Mom & Dads for coffee and a chat. Home by dinner. We have our adoption pre-travel seminar this coming weekend and will not make it back to the cottage til next weekend.
